Bluehost is one of my favorite webhosting companies. It has its downsides, but overall I consider Bluehost to be a great company and am happy with their service.
One thing that I love about Bluehost is the ease of configuring your site to lots of different website content management systems. With the Bluehost cPanel, you can choose from a number of popular site platforms like WordPress and Weebly and have them set up for your site within seconds. When I was first starting out, I just wanted to get the hosting part of setting up my site out of the way and start working on the actual content of my site. Bluehost allowed me to do this easily.
For those with a budget, Bluehost has good prices and you can get quality hosting without breaking the bank. They do try and upsell you with lots of add-ons and other things you probably do not need, however this is not exclusive to Bluehost and many companies do this. Just ignore the add-ons and move on to actually getting the hosting set up.
While Bluehost is great for beginners, the layout of their control panel can seem overwhelming at first. There are lots of settings and options that you can select, but for the most part you do not need to worry about this stuff. Once you tour around the control panel for a few minutes, things start to make sense and it isn’t intimidating anymore.
