BlueHost allows for many different needs, including web hosting and email servicing. They state that the cPanel is easy to use, yet for the novice user like myself, I find many of their options can be confusing and difficult to manipulate. Because of this, I have not taken advantage of many of the perk that I could be using because I do not have the time to teach myself their array of options.
Instead, I use WordPress, which they have as an option on cPanel, and run my sites from this simple program. I appreciate that BlueHost allows for simpler options without having to install them myself, making my site easy to run without having to navigate cPanel.
Also, BlueHost’s prices are good. For registering two websites and hosting, they charge me one set fee per year that is very affordable.
The few times I have called customer service, they have been friendly and helpful and have solved my problems quickly. Rarely do they experience service outages, and when they do, I always receive an email explaining the situation and how they will resolve the problem.
Overall, I have been happy with my experience using BlueHost, and have been with then for about four years. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate them as a 4 (good). My main suggestion would be to simplify cPanel and make it easier for novice users to navigate and understand.
T.K. says
As of 2016 and as a new user I can comment that BlueHost is completely convoluted. I will also say they give out your e-mail address to third parties and you will get blasted with spam regarding “building your website”.
